European Parliament proposed a dedicated budget line for sustainable tourism

The European Parliament has proposed a specific allocation of 300 million euro for sustainable tourism in the next Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 that will boost investment in one of the sectors with the greatest potential for employment. This amount is suggested under the title of Single Market with a separate budget line.

The supporting organisations of the European Tourism Manifesto endorse the European Parliament proposal, which is line with their campaign ‘More EU budget for Tourism in the MFF 2021-2027’ and call upon the Council of the European Union to support the Parliament’s amendments to introduce a dedicated budget for tourism.
