The European Tourism Manifesto supporting organisations called on the Members of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs of the European Parliament to encourage the European Commission to continue the talks on the visa reciprocity with US and Canada. The letter signed by the tourism stakeholders stated a need for balance to be sought between ensuring security for travellers and citizens while allowing travel flows to continue and preventing a negative impact on the tourism economy in Europe.
